Donna and Pete On Track

Veronica, Pete and Donna Our two-night stay with Veronica at West Creek was so nice. And unlike everywhere else on the east coast of Australia - the weather has been our friend since our sailing weekend in the Hawkesbury over a week ago. We stayed in the van in a paddock beside the house yard. 360 degree views of rolling green farmland and distant Wonthaggi. Sunrise and sunset - all the country colour feels. Really nice for Pete and Veronica to have a good long yarn, and for Veronica and me to get to know each other a little. We danced in the kitchen to Steely Dan and others that Pete selected especially knowing Veronica's music. And, you guessed it, we had Pete's French Toast for breaky - Veronica loved it! Bilgola Beach Last Friday we were off for a rainy swim at Bilgola and looking forward to boarding Black Magic on Saturday morning at Palm Beach and spending a couple of days in Pittwater, Cowan Creek and Hardy’s Bay with my sister Peit, her partner Captain Steve, her daughters and their partners and grandchildren. It was such a tonic to spend time back in these waterways with family. I was last here sailing around in about 1995 on boats owned by my kids’ Dad and me, Mum and Dad, and friends. I had my 30 th on a Palm Beach Ferry and many other family parties on and around this beautiful sandstone edged waterway.
